How to make 3D Helical Gear by CAD??
For those of you who wants to make a Variety of gear by CAD 3D, maybe this article could help you. Generally is’nt available for direct command to make the gear 3D in CAD,Unlike other software Solid work and 3D's max that contained "Twist" command. But this can be overcame with some related commands are available in CAD. In CAD there are 2 commands that can be utilized "sweep" and "array" as a substitute "twist" command.
The steps :
1.Make a sketch diameter the gear and radius of helical and also make a sketch of teeth for gear.
2.Make shape of helical gear.
3.Do "sweep" the teeth with arc line of helix.
4.Rotate the teeth according to the slope of the gear.
5.Do, "array" of 18 copies.
6.For to tidy up use the “subtract” command.
7.Create gaps and holes in center gear and assembly this gear.
8.And than this is your’s helical gear...Let’s try it>>.
